The Royal Caribbean Group’s Hotel Operarations Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Director, Hotel Operations.

Position Summary:

In this position you will manage the overall performance of hotel operations for Ecuador-based expeditions and assigned classic operations, enhancing guest experience, brand consistency, safety and public health, financial results, and team capability. Collaborate with onboard hotel managers and shore-based leaders to deliver exceptional, personalized service and profitable growth, in accordance with Silversea's ultra-luxury standards and RCG's sustainability commitments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Silversea's brand pillars and RCG's ESG commitments.
  • Incorporate "whispered luxury" and the ship's intimacy at every touchpoint.
  • Measure guest satisfaction/NPS KPIs, complaint recovery effectiveness, and brand compliance.
  • Establish and enforce suite and public area standards; ensure preventative maintenance and timely closure of defects in partnership with Marine Operations.
  • Achieve top-tier USPH/VSP scores and excellent food safety performance; and drive incident-free operations.
  • Develop and manage hotel operations budgets (revenue, cost of sales, labor, inventory); meet cost per guest day targets without compromising luxury standards.
  • Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and succession planning for hotel operations (onboard and ashore).
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with RCG's staff priorities (DEI, well-being, ethics).
  • Train hotel managers on board; conduct performance and readiness assessments.
  • Develop community engagement plans that strengthen ties with the islands and local partners, supporting responsible tourism.
  • Define pilot innovations (e.g., energy savings in hotel areas, menu engineering, improvements to the guest experience) aligned with the brand and ESG objectives.

Requisitos:

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality/Business (or related field). Relevant certifications will be valued (e.g., HACCP; STCW modules for hotel leadership).
  • 10 to 12 years of progressive leadership in onboard hotel operations.
  • 5 or more years as Hotel Director / Food and Beverage Director / Resident Manager on luxury or premium cruise lines (experience on small ships and/or expeditions is highly preferred; experience in the Galapagos Islands is an asset).
