Stack Builders is an agile software consulting company founded in New York City, with offices in Quito, Ecuador. We are looking for a bilingual professional to join our administrative team as an Accounting and Payroll assistant.
You will be working directly with our corporate team and reporting to the Office Manager in the Quito office. We are looking for someone who has an excellent attitude and desire to grow within a small administrative area in the financial department. Our company will work with you on the business strategy that will include training in the accounting process for the company in the United States.
Significant payroll/accounting experience related to the actual job duties generally acquired through a combination of education and/or practical work experience in the accounting field.
Considerable experience in organizing, analyzing and interpreting financial data and preparing financial reports using Microsoft or Google.
Experience in the analysis, investigation, and processes relating to accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Able to record efficiently the information required in IESS and MRL platforms.
Review, process and resolve vendor inquiries as well as issue client invoices in an effective way.
Capable of assisting with accounting and related financial matters to the company, including the creation of reports as required.
Handles petty cash custody with the day to day maintenance including: Safeguarding, reconciling and replenishing the fund.
Responsible for handling the bank reconciliation process including the appropriate recording and classification review of all transactions impacting the entity's bank account.
Responsible for reaching out to clients to collect payment for overdue invoices.
You must also have:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and other digital applications/systems.
Understands employment Standards in the Ecuadorian legislation, as it applies to the payroll and taxes system.
Has exceptionally analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to function effectively as part of a team, and be responsive to co-workers in a professional manner.
